QUEST, LEVEL DESIGNS AND MISC
Quest: Cultists(Level 4) - The City of Tears
The Rogue stood at the base of the stairs, watching as his teammates moved on without nary a glance to see if he were following. Ahead, a sinister silhouette with the vaguest shape of a cathedral decorated the cavern, stretching itself out until it had interjected itself so far into the walls of the cave it may as well have been a part of it.Through the windows, various shadows could be seen going about their business. From above, the water that the merfolk inhabited trickled down the ceiling of the cave and dripped to ground. It was almost as if the earth itself was weeping.
All that was known of the cultists that gathered at the base of the cave was whispers of gruesome rituals and experiments. These people were defined by their lust for power. They reeked of it. They threw away everything that they could if it would bring them even a step further towards what they desired. With how far we have come, and what we did to get here;
Can we really say at this point that we are much better than them?

Intro: The ritualists and occultists who’ve abandoned society and made this cavern their home are shunned and isolated by the surface dwellers - they call them traitors, demons, murderers; And yet, despite their supposed insanity, I can’t help but begin to sympathize with their ideals.
Outro: Tactics will not guide you. Teammates will not protect you. Friends will not help you. Nothing beats pure unbridled power. You’ll only ever have yourself in this wretched world.

CHARACTERISATIONS
To help keep the quests and the personalities of the characters consistant, created a document that detailed their personalities before and after entering the cave.
Cleric
Basic Traits;
⦁    The cleric is female
⦁    The most selfless of the group
⦁    Did not enter the cave for selfish reasons, entered the cave to protect or to find 'Ingrid'(?)
Personality at the Beginning of the Game;
⦁    Worships a kind and benevolent goddess, however can be almost extremist in faith, believing that her goddess and only her goddess alone has any teachings worth following
⦁    Stays with the group because she cares about them and wants to guide them down the right path, motherly
Personality by the End of the Game;
⦁    Worships Gog-Hoor, The Devourer of Insane Minds. (Corruption of Faith) Is still extremist, but now moreso than before. Participates in more ritualistic worship, living sacrifice, blood etc. Her faith now aligns well with that of the cultists.
⦁    Becomes more vampiric and parasitic in power and nature.
⦁    She begins to become controlling and self-righteous. (Moral Superiority) She begins contolling and manipulating others, certain that she is in the right and forcing them to act how she wants its the best way for them to 'repent' or to be a better person.
⦁    Stays with the group to control them, still 'cares' in her own twisted up way, as she believes that she is doing the right thing by bending their minds.

Rogue
Basic Traits;
⦁    Makes very, very bad jokes.
⦁    Male
⦁    Spends a lot of his time in the past and future and very little time in the present.
⦁    Not a very athletic person, prefers to hang back and support or fights with long range combat as opposed to getting up close and personal with the enemy.
⦁    Very wary of how the cave may drive him and the other members of the group insane.
Personality at the Start of the Game;
⦁    Watches as the others slowly go insane; Winner of the 'Stays Sane the Longest' award.
⦁    Also came looking for Ingrid?
⦁    Stays with the group because he cares about them and because he knows that he will not survive on his own.
Personality by the End of the Game;
⦁    Instead of being 'led down a dark path', hes dragged there kicking and screaming.
⦁    Eventually becomes sadistic; Takes joy in harming 'The Little Man'; Enjoys killing what cant fight back.
⦁    Stays with the group for basically the same reasons as before.
Wizard
Basic Traits;
⦁    Most Selfish of the group; Most susceptible to evil

Barbarian
Basic Traits;
⦁    Male
⦁    Intelligent, but not wise; As a mechanic he has great knowledge of machines but this does not mean he is smart, a Himbo, if you will

⦁    Rivalry is friendly, playful
⦁    Is insensitive at times, but doesn't mean anything bad by it and is caring, most of the time.
⦁    Will use his body to protect you
⦁    Stays with the group because he wants to protect them
Personality by the End of the Game;
⦁    Rivalry becomes violent.
⦁    Is increasingly hostile towards the Wizard out of jealousy, and towards the Rogue out of fear of being replaced. This makes him more susceptible to the Clerics manipulation.
⦁    Stays with the group for pathetic reasons; To prove he's the best by outshining the Wizard, and to prove he should not be 'replaced' as he views it, by the Rogue. His madness begins to come from a place of insecurity.
